Is you open up th file. You set the ISO file as yhe map. Such as Bloodgulch.map
you than set the patch as
whatever.ppf
click apply. Your done, Also you should probably make your own back-ups by copying the map to a different place.

Posts: 248 | Oh my gosh, what you do is find your "Maps" folder in your Halo PC directory, and then on the "Open Type" box, click "All Files". Then select what map the PPF file will be patched onto. Then, click okay, and for the "Patch" option, find the actual .ppf file and click ok or whatever. There! |

Posts: 2 | IT is simple to make a patch get transfered to a .map which i guess is what most people are doing. YOU MUST GO TO THE TOP INPUT, press the floppy disk like button and when you are looking for a file make it so you see all files. on the top input put the .map and on the bottom it must be a ppf. k i hope this helps |

Posts: 18 | Okay, first download ppf-o-matic and unzip it to (any) directory, and then double click the icon that shows a disc with legs. from here, click the floppy disc icon to the right of "ISO file", click the arrow to the right of "Files of Type" and select "All Files" find and select whatever file you want to patch, and hit open. Then, on the main screen, click the floppy disc icon to the right of "Patch" find the ppf file you want to use, select it and click "open" at the main screen, hit the "apply button, a window should appear that says something about "burn image to cd now", from there just click ok and the PPF will have been applied to the file. tell me if that helped.  |

Posts: 1 | i got the .map and .ppf file merged, but when i attempt to open the map that has been changes, it minimizes halo and comes up with an error message saying that there is an "exception" and it is gathering data, but it then closes, and tells me that halo has encountered a problem and needs to close WHAT DID I DO WRONG |

Posts: 1 | This tool is for modding or applying patches made with another program known as ppf studio( which is here http://halo2.filefront.com/file/PPFStudio;46652), instead of having to do every little detail yourself, or download a map, this patch replaces the maps data(eg: weapon tags information...) the Image(ISO) file is the file that the patch will be applied to(eg: Bloodgluch.map) next the patch part use the downloaded .ppf file and place it into it. Then select apply, also make sure not to have any programs using the same map when doing this, you WILL get an error.
